Unrecognized Transactions & Disputes

Many times a single unauthorized charge is found to be a merchant error. Simply contacting the merchant might resolve the error quickly. However, if you think your debit card number is being fraudulently used, call us at (877) 712-2265 as soon as possible. We'll cancel your card and issue a replacement immediately.

Some merchants may bill under a name other than their operating name. A copy of the sales slip may assist you in recognizing the charge as one that you authorized. If you still have questions about the transaction, please contact the merchant directly. If you don't have contact information for the merchant, please call us at (877) 712-2265 and we may be able to provide that information.

A debit card dispute occurs when you question a particular transaction that you may believe is an error. The following types of transactions may be disputed:

  • Charges that list the wrong date or amount
  • Duplicate charges
  • Charges for goods and services you didn't accept or weren't delivered as agreed
  • Failure to post credits, such as returns
  • Charges for which you ask for an explanation or written proof of purchase
