J.R. Morris brings 10+ years of commercial banking and lending experience to his role as Managing Director for Academy Bank’s Arkansas market. With a background that spans accounting, insurance, and information technology, J.R. offers clients a unique perspective grounded in collaboration, creativity, and practical problem-solving. He is especially passionate about commercial real estate and the many industries it supports, helping business owners and investors identify opportunities, navigate complex financing needs, and move forward with confidence.

Known for his thoughtful, relationship-focused approach, J.R. is committed to listening first and learning what matters most to each client. J.R. is active in the Northwest Arkansas community through organizations and events such as the NWA Council, the Rogers Lowell Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, and University of Arkansas mentorship programs. Outside of work, J.R. enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, playing golf, hunting, fishing, and taking on personal building and renovation projects.
